Does saltwater ruin manicures?

im taking a vacation to Florida and im wondering if the satwater eats up the mani? ive heard its true... what happens to them?Does saltwater ruin manicures?
sometimes if the manicure isnt good...


it just makes them not as smooth. but if your going to florida i think it would be worth it :) haha i love the ocean
