Are French Manicures a thing of the past?

I just stumbled upon a few websites that state that french manicures are a thing of the past, is this a universal thought? I still get them done occasionally, and am planning to have them as such for my wedding in a few months, thoughts? Other ideas? Are French Manicures a thing of the past?
like the little black dress, french manicures are always in style. I have very nice natural nails, and that's pretty much the only type of manicure I get. I was at salon once getting my nails done and was debating between a color and the french manicure, and the nail person told me that if she had natural nails like mine, french manicure was the only way to go.

i actually have started to get french manicures with the white tip that is not so ';white out correction fluid'; white. Seche makes a wonderful pale pink and soft white. It looks very natural.

simple and classy. Are French Manicures a thing of the past?
no. nothing is a thing of the past. why should u just follow what is in right now? i love '60's clothes and style! u should never follow fashion, only what looks good on you....french manicures r so chic and cute. they will never be out.
The french manicure is a trend that just keeps hanging on. If you're looking for a suggestion for wedding day nails, I would skip the french and just go for a pretty pink. It doesn't matter what length they are. It will enhance your fingers and not draw attention away from the wedding band, especially if you are going to have pictures of your hands with your rings on. In 20 years the french will look dated in pictures- kinda like old pics of women with teased hair and cat's eye glasses. A pink will be classic and timeless.
I LOVE french manicures. Who cares what teeny bop magazine says theyre a thing of the past? I consider them a timeless classic.......like a black suit. In fact........Im going to give myself one today.
I prefer them, although I never do my nails anymore...I'm always doing something to break them. I think they are classier than having an actual color on your nails (my toes, on the other hand, usually go bright red in the summer).
No, I still do French manicures alot and get them done when I can afford it. I think they look really pretty and you shouldn't listen to those websites, because it's the fact that you like them which counts. Also, French manicures go with alot of outfits and can look casual as well as stunning. I still think you should go with them for your wedding because they look nice and go well with wedding style themes. Hehe good luck with the wedding and I hope I have helped! xx
french manicures are starting to become a thing of the past but you have to be an individual and go with what you think is best
French manicures are always in style!
No way, french manicures are always HOT. For my wedding i opted for a plain old manicure with light pink polish. (i think pink lookes better on my short little fingers) If thats what you want go for it!!! good luck!
I got one on my toes just this week. They are a classic and will never go out....just like the little black dress and pearls! (Which would look great with a french manicure)!
they are classy. classy things dont die out in my eyes. and plus if you like them then get them. who cares whats in and whats out. the most stylish thing a person can have is confidence, and the only way to get that is to be comfortable and like what you look like.

sorry if i sound preachy but i think its something everyone needs to hear.
no th3y ar3n't th3 thing of th3 past and th3 good thing is th3y can go with any outfit
French manicures are not ';in'; right now... neither are long nails... but I still think it would be pretty on a bride. Have you considered an American manicure? It's like the French, only with a much more natural white. It's classy and natural.

On the other hand, French manicures on toes are just plain gross (sorry!)... if your toe nails are that long then they need to be cut...
I have also heard this BUT at the end of the day are the people around you in every day life going to realise they are no longer the latest thing? I am sure they will just notice how pretty they look :) Congratulations!
I don't think they are. All of my friends get french manicures weekly and I think they will always stay classy for a wedding.
I think so. It's definentally the best for a wedding though. Acrylic french is fine, but I don't get manicures with white tips anymore, I like color! A few minutes ago I painted my toes red and my fingers dark purple.
I love those!!!!!! there not a thing of the past! or are they.... No I don't think so.
